Modern is an up-to-date version of an older style. It refers to a time from around the mid-20th Century, a time which we now refer to as “retro”. But at the time, it was a style that marked a complete change from the previous traditions.
Mid-Century Modern, to give it its correct title, allows for the colours and textures of extensive materials to dominate the room. Modern kitchens are often streamlined spaces of simple designs, shiny appliances, and a lack of unnecessary clutter.
